Issued between 1935-40, this is a charming early Dinky Gift Set in all original condition.
It comprises:
1) 21A Locomotive in green & black
2) 21B Green & red Ope Wagon
3) 21D SHELL Tanker Wagon in red & blue
4)21E Lumber Wagon in yellow, red & green,
Each item is intact, complete and original. Chipping/marking is light especially bearing in mind how early this set is.
Bright and complete lift-off lid card box has strong colours. No graffiti. Complete paper labels(save for small surface scuff and correct colour spot at a lid end (denoting colour of the locomotive since a maroon and black version was also made at this time). Colourful paper label depicting the set. Rubbing and wear mostly at edges.
A charming set which has survived well, being 75 or so years old.
A scarce item in original condition.
