Corgi 258
Corgi 258 The "Saint's" Car Volvo P.1800. Very near mint/boxed. First issue with a black Saint logo figure on a cream background. From The Brighton Collection.
Notes
First issue model introduced in 1965 in white finish, with a bright red interior and a black “Saint” matchstick figure transfer on the bonnet. The car is in very close to mint condition with just a few near microscopic marks only. Displays superbly with a crisp white paint finish, and a complete “Saint” matchstick figure. The silver detailing at bumpers and sides, which so often wears off during handling, is nice and bright, as is the detailing at front and rear bumpers (showing that this car has had careful/minimal handling). Jewelled headlights, perfect suspension on shaped spun wheels, driver. As-new original tyres. All original throughout – and looking completely unused.
The blue and yellow picture box is brightly-colours, clean and complete. Tiny crease and a thin strip of surface loss on one non-picture side and a few tiny flecks besides . Corgi Club Membership Form.
_A sought-after t.v. related Corgi model – especially a first issue example in this condition.
