Corgi 497
Corgi 497 The Man From UNCLE's Thrushbuster. Rare cream export version. Very near mint/boxed. With original Waverley ring, 2 card rings and card wrap-around packing piece. From The Phillips Collection.
Notes
This is a most unusual item from Corgi in the scarce cream finish and made for just for one year only (1966). Usual colour finish is metallic blue.
This particular example is in very close to mint condition with a fine cream finish and a notably complete and bright bonnet logo. Very nice! Please note that this is an authentic example, i.e. correct that it does not have a bonnet cast square immediately surrounding the bonnet label (only the metallic blue version has this casting detail).
In all original condition throughout.
Couple of little marks to the paint finish and a tiny tarnishing to the roof button.
This example comes complete with the original Waverley ring, the colourful card ring, the card packing ring as well as the wrap around card packing piece.
The inner card stand is clean, bright and complete. A little minor tearing at some of the wheel slots as you might expect. This version has the monochrome base on which the model stands.
Lots of information on the UNITED NETWORK COMMAND FOR LAW AND ENFORCEMENT (U.N.C.L.E.) on box plinth reverse.
The outer box is complete, clean and bright.
Couple of little flecks of surface loss and a little light grubby storage mark/light scuff on one side.
A rare t.v. inspired Corgi item.
