Dinky 944
Dinky 944 Shell-B.P. Fuel Tanker. Near mint plus/boxed (end flap style). White chassis version. From the personal collection of a professional TV & Film Set Designer.
Notes
Issued between 1963-70, this Dinky Supertoys model is in original, unused condition. Bright white and yellow cab and body, white chassis, and grey plastic hubs.
So often, the white plastic tank becomes discoloured and yellowed over time – happy to say that this example is a very bright and fresh white colour.
Complete with tow hook and spare wheel still affixed to the bright baseplate.
All “SHELL” and “B.P.” labels are complete throughout, just minor age wear. Occasional little mark to the paint finish. Small lightly ‘blistered’ area on the front bumper.
The colourfully illustrated end flap style box is complete and bright. These comparatively flimsy boxes often suffer wear due to the weight of the model. A little of the usual handling wear and two small punctures have pressed back into place.
