Acknowledged in ‘The Great Book Of Dinky Toys’, this collector in the U.S. brings his 37 year collection to QDT. Included are some very rare items and a wealth of period literature and catalogues.
Made between 1952-54, this is the 2nd type cab version with no flash at cab sides. In violet blue finish with a paler blue back and matching hubs. Presents very nicely with a fresh and gleaming all original paint finish, with just the occasional very minor mark.
Original grey radial tyres are well-shaped. Supertoy hubs.20 mph label in place.
Unfaded deep blue box has a complete paper label. A little age/handling wear. Period penned price at a lid end and a little pencilled writing on the lid.
A difficult find.
