French Dinky 32E
French Dinky 32E Berliet Fire Engine. Scarce. Near mint plus/boxed. From The Cologne Collection.
Notes
One of our favourite French Dinky trucks, this is one of the more difficult to find Dinky Fire Engines. It presents so well with a gleaming deep cherry red lustre that has not even a touch of sunfading. Complete with with both detachable reels at the rear.
Bright base and smooth-running, original tyres.
A little marking at the detachable reels attach as you might expect (apparent when the reels are removed). Couple of very small marks besides. Very small dab of extra paint at a wheel arch (visible to the keenest eye). The striped picture box is clean and bright with no splits. ‘Meccano Controle’ Dinky factory Quality Control stamp on the inside of the box lid. A little shelf rubbing to underside box base. Handwritten date (June 1957) on the box lid.
Issued between 1957-59.
