Matchbox Gift Set 4

Notes

This is the second issue (1961) of this seven-piece set and comprises:

a) M7 Cattle Truck in red and light tan with grey plastic treaded tyres. In excellent plus condition with a pleasing lustre. Note that there is a small paint defect to one bottom edge of the tan back and some marking to the paint finish besides near this site.

b) 12 Land Rover with black plastic wheels. Very near mint.

c) 23c Bluebird Dauphine Caravan in pale metallic mauve with silver plastic treaded tyres. Very near mint.

d) 31b American Ford Station Wagon in metallic green and cream, silver plastic wheels. Near mint plus (couple of roof edge marks) .

e) 35a Horse Box in red and tan with grey plastic wheels. Near mint (few little exposed edge marks).

f) 50a Commer Pick-Up. Near mint with chip at roof edge and a few smaller marks besides.

g) 72a Fordson Tractor in blue with orange plastic rear wheels. Excellent plus condition with marks to the paint at the wheel arches.

Bright yellow carded inner is complete, clean and very bright. Couple of small tears.

Box base is clean, bright and complete. No tears. Crisp card. Very nice!
Box sleeve is bright and clean with no repairs or graffiti.

Tiny edge ruffling/little tear at the corners and a small scuff. Light age wear besides.
