Notes
A fine and original example of this early version made between 1953-54 (later renumbered 981). It is cast in aluminium and has a very lustrous deep maroon paint finish, which is close to perfect. Red wheels. Complete lettering at both sides and above the cab.
Occasional little mark where metal meets metal (at drop down ramps) and a small mark on the roof.
It comes in the correct early deep blue box with a clean and bright paper label. Vivid, unfaded colours throughout. English only print, specifically made for the U.S. market only.
This version with one long paper label has a few little edge nicks. Complete U.S. Export Label. Stamped ‘980’ at a lid end (later numbering).
