Nicky 120
Nicky (Dinky casting) Toys 120 Jaguar 'E' Type. NON-METALLIC red, blue-black roof & cream 'soft top'. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce - with 'DINKY TOYS" on base. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
Sought-after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This ‘E’ Type Jaguar model is a difficult find – finished in non-metallic red with an intact detachable blue-black hood and a cream soft top. Intact original windscreen. One-piece wheels/tyres.
A little paint bubbling/rough casting low down on one side.
An early issue since the Dinky lettering on the baseplate is still visible ( i.e. not blanked off) as well as the original lettering ‘Jaguar ’E’ Type from Dinky. No reference to the Indian manufacturer made on the base of this early Nicky Toys model.
The box (to Nicky toys standard) is fine – complete, clean and with a crisp feel to the card. Light wear only.
