Corgi 1127
Corgi 1127 Simon Snorkel Fire Engine. Very near mint/boxed. A more difficult find in the late issue card and cellophane picture box. From The Old School Collection.
Notes
A popular Corgi model from the Major Packs Emergency Vehicle range of toys. The Simon Snorkel fire engine was made between 1964-74, with a Bedford cab, 6 firemen, water cannon, extending and rotating boom. This model presents very nicely with bright untarnished supports for the boom and a vivid lustre to the original paint finish.
Bright gold booms. Detailed cast wheels.
Couple of little (probably factory) marks to the finish.
This card and cellophane picture box is a more difficult find certainly. Clean, strongly-coloured card with intact original cellophane window. Minor wear and a small handling tear on an end flap. Trace of the original tape which kept the end flaps closed. Complete card insert looks bright and complete. Small polystyrene packing piece present.
