Notes
Rare to come to the market-place, this is a Code 1 (therefore factory made) promotional issue Berliet Beer Lorry with large ‘KRONENBOURG’ labels on both non-picture sides of the card box.
Correct for this promotional issue, the cab and chassis are finished in scarlet red with matching metal wheels and a red plastic back.
Stake tailboard (small portion of one of the securing lugs is missing) with complete ‘KRONENBOURG, LE GRAND NOM DES BIÈRES D’ALSACE’ lettering.
Few small exposed edge marks to the cab, although the roof is largely unscathed.
Includes 11 barrels (full complement, although probably a later addition) and stack of crates (correct).
The colourfully illustrated card box comes complete with an intact serrated tab. Colours are vibrant. Note that cleartape has been applied at some time to seal one set of end flaps (simply a preventative measure since there are no tears at this site). Two part-thickness slit punctures to the lid on one side. Light wear besides.
Promotional labels on both non-pictures sides of the box are complete and bright.
With card packing piece.
