Dinky 917
Dinky 514/917 Guy Van 'Spratts'. Very near mint/boxed. From The Cumbrian Collection.
Notes
An essential item in your Dinky commercial collection, this Guy van was made during Dinky’s heyday and is part of the sought-after range of advertising vans made during mid-late 1950s.
This example issued in the transition box (514 & the later 917 are both printed at a lid end so denoting that this example was released during 1954 only).
Notably complete distinctive transfers on both sides.
Shiny base and well-shaped smooth tyres. Spare stowed.
Delighted to see that this is an all origibal example with no retouches!
The striped transition box has light wear. Excellent strong colours and no hint of sunfading and that includes the portion of the deep blue base not covered by the lid. Period price on the box face.
