Dinky 502
Dinky 502 Foden Flat Truck. Near mint plus/boxed. 1st type. Scarce. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
A scarce and quite beautiful early Dinky commercial Foden! This is a pleasing, original example of this 1st type Foden in the correct early box.
With a gleaming deep green original finish, bright baseplate, silver flash, 1st type cab, no hook, and well-shaped, herringbone tyres.
This truck has been carefully stored for some fifty+ years – certainly never played-with!
Occasional little side edge rub and a small flat bed edge chip. Intact 20 mph transfer is still in place at the rear wheel arch.
The correct early buff card box has a virtually complete and deeply-coloured paper label. Grubby. No splits or repairs. Light wear and a little of the usual rusting at staples. Meccano quality control stamp on the box base underside. Incomplete correct colour spot at a lid end.
Period pencilled price.
