Nicky 186
Nicky/Dinky Toys 186 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE. Rare BRIGHT RED (non-metallic) version. Very, very near mint (but factory assembly break in rear bumper)/boxed. From The Rickman Collection. Purchased by the owner from a collector who had a contact in India.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A virtually mint example finished in a vivid (non-metallic) red with original silver details, off-white interior, black steering wheel, and intact window glazing. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
The first we have ever offered for sale in this colour finish.
Shiny black base.
Note the factory assembly break to the rear bumper (no parts missing).
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) has some of the usual wear (for this range). Light edge rubbing and a couple of small handling tears.
