Corgi 268
Corgi 268 The Green Hornet's 'Black Beauty'. Very near mint/boxed. Spun wheel issue. With Instructions in Packet, 4 scanners and 3 missiles. From The Edinburgh Collection.
Notes
An exciting iconic T.V inspired Corgi model – issued between 1968-72. This is a beautiful example in very close to mint, all original condition. Beautiful delicate roof logo is intact. Note that the radiator closes securely (often these models are found with the radiator gaping slightly even when closed). Note too that suspension is present on all four wheels.
The all-important detailed roof transfer is complete and perfect.
Hard to find a mark of any size – if you want to fault it, you could note a few very, very faint surface scratches on the bonnet when you hold the car under strong light.
This example comes with the Secret Instruction Packet which has been opened (couple of small tears). Inside, are the Instructions, and the full complement of radar scanners and missiles.
The very attractive inner card stand has lots of atmospheric graphics.
It is absolutely crisp, bright and clean. Two very small wheel slot tears.
The outer box is really crisp, clean and colourful. Tiniest wear only. Period pencilled price on one surface.
