Notes
A scarce set issued between 1967-69 comprising:
1) Corgi 490 VW Breakdown Truck, shaped spun wheels with suspension. With strung tow hook, red VW emblem, complete “RACING CLUB” paper labels on both sides (light age wear). Both spare tyres are present, as well as an intact opening red plastic tool box, complete with all the chrome tools. Chevron paper label at the rear.
2)* Corgi 156 Cooper-Maserati on a red trailer* with detailed cast wheels. Mint model is still banded to the red trailer. Couple of very minor (surely as-made) marks to the red trailer.
The contents are housed in a distinctive and most attractive card picture box with a flip-up colourful backdrop for display. Just minor wear at both opening hinges (usually found with heavy wear and tears).
Strong vivid colours on sturdy card.
Inner has no tears, colours are vivid. Both winged card pieces are intact which may be used to prop open the box on display.
