Issued between 1968-74, this particular example in the later ‘Rainbow’ window box was issued toward the end of this period.
It contains a ‘Zebra-striped’ Land-Rover with a perfect circular ‘LIONS OF LONGLEAT’ label on the bonnet. Opened hatch on the cab roof shows the keeper complete with the (usually missing!) rifle. In virtually mint condition.
Also included is the plastic lion’s den which is complete with two male lions, one female, three portions of meat (still in original bag), and a red barrel.
The impressive box is bright and fresh with smooth original cellophane (couple of tiny punctures) and the yellow card packing insert with polystyrene piece. Period price label.
An attractive Gift Set, especially nice to see this one complete!
