Nicky 660

Notes
Sought-after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
One of the best surviving examples – and only the second we have ever offered for sale. This rare model has a vivid yellow , pale grey and red finish, with window glazing, red metal ridged wheels, well-shaped original tyres and both chevron labels still present on the drop-down ramps.
Inevitable marking where the two components attach and on the ramps too the occasional little mark besides (metal against metal). The model still has its card insert – as is so often the case with these Nicky Toys the base is crudely cut. Original old elastic bands in situ. Note too the period newspaper used for wrapping/protecting the model.
The colourful, clean, and distinctive lift-off lid box is complete. A couple of box punctures though no parts missing. No seam splits or repairs and the sturdy buff lower half of the box shows barely any wear at all.
