Dinky 260
Original Dinky Trade Box of 6 x Dinky 260 Royal Mail Vans. Late versions with treaded tyres. Very near mint/boxed. A remarkable find from The Berlin Collector.
Notes
It is noteworthy enough to find one classic Dinky Royal Man Van in completely unused condition in such a crisp fresh as-new box! This is an exceptional find – the original buff Trade box still housing 6 unsold Royal Mail Vans! Each box is so difficult to prise open – crisp, vibrant and like new. Each van has its delightful lustre and complete lettering and logo on both sides. This version with treaded tyres was issued toward the end of the production run (1955-61) and is a little more difficult to get. Matt black roof, red cast wheels and shiny base.
Even though barely out of their original boxes, you will find the occasional little as-made mark and one has a little blistering at a wheel arch rim.
The individual boxes are remarkable and virtually pristine – pristine. This is not a later made-up set of vans, but the originals from this trade box.
The Trade Outer has light wear and residue from the original tape.
