An eye-catching Dinky commercial, this Guy van was made during Dinky’s heyday and is part of the sought-after range of advertising vans made during mid-late 1950s.
Issued between 1953-54 before its renumbering to 917.
An all original early issue with virtually perfect – perfect distinctive ‘SPRATTS’ lettering in the shape of a Scottie dog on both sides. There are a very little marks , although the overall, the impression is pleasing. Bright baseplate. Cab is virtually mint. Nice clean example. One of the original tyres has a flat spot although a spare is stowed on the underside).
The deep blue card box with a paper label has vivid colours. Paper label is complete. Note the small part-puncture at one short lid side. Occasional little scuff/light wear and the staples are rusty now. Period pencilled price.
