D514
Dinky 514 Guy Van "SLUMBERLAND". Near mint/boxed. Early issue with ridged wheels. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1950-52, this model has a deep, vibrant red paint finish with complete detailed transfers on both sides and above the cab roof. Very nice!
Early issue with ridged ‘car’ wheels. Later issue would have ‘Supertoy’/ grooved wheels.
Usual marking at rear doors and the occasional little mark besides.
Upon close examination, a few little retouches can be seen, mostly at wheel arches.
Base is very bright.
The early blue box is strongly-coloured ad fresh-looking, with no tears or repairs. Little top edge surface crumple. Period price label on box base.
An attractive model and box on display.
