Notes
The MBU Collector says:
“I was pleased to get the artwork from the office of Marcel Van Cleemput – I was given a quantity of ephemera amongst other things from the office of Marcel Van Cleemput as a thank you for my help with The Great Book of Corgi. The boxed model came from the Chicago Toyfair back in 1992”.
This item was inspired by the t.v. series “Hardy Boys”. Issued between 1970-71 only, it contains a detailed 1912 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost in beautiful condition, complete with jewelled headlights and bonnet emblem. Intact delicate ‘fretwork’ on the roof surround.
Upon the closest inspection, you will find a couple of tiny marks to the paint finish.
The five “Hardy Boys” figures are housed within the intact bubble casing. Affixed to the card piece at one end.
The colourfully illustrated window box is complete and bright, with a vivid scene on the reverse. Light age wear only. Original cellophane is intact.
Original artwork is hand-painted on acetate.
This example measures 30cms x 20cms ( no backing sheet):
