Rare version of the Corgi 'The 1902 State Landau' (Queen's Silver Jubilee 1977) . With RED BAIZE underside. Made at the time of the 100 Presentation Pieces made for the winners of The Daily Express Competition. As pictured on page 350 of 'The Great Book of Corgi'. From The Berlin Collection.

100 Presentation pieces were made for the winners of The Daily Express Competition to celebrate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977.
This is an accurate model with beautiful attention to detail.
Four horses. The Queen’s outfit is yellow.
The item fixed to its grey plastic stand is mounted on a mahogany plinth.
Note the paper label with the following printed details:
‘Corgi 1902 State Landau Presented by the DAILY EXPRESS’
which borders the mahogany plinth on one side. Faint trace of the signature of Marcel Van Cleemput. Light edge wear/small nicks at edges of the paper label.
A delicate item, complete with all fragile, intricate details.
Substantial clear plastic cover.
An extremely scarce period piece.
