D171
Dinky 171 Hudson Commodore Sedan. Near mint plus/boxed. Turquoise & red high line version. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
This classic Dinky model was issued between 1956-58. Attractive highline paint scheme in turquoise and red, with red hubs, bright baseplate. Smooth original tyres run well.
Bright base has minor ‘spidering’.

Small raised casting mark on the roof and a couple of little dots nearby. A little rubbing at side raised body lines in places. Scrutiny under magnification reveals a little dab of later paint on the bonnet emblem. Hard to notice under ‘normal use’!
The card box is bright and complete, with quite a crisp feel. Minor age wear includes a crease and a tiny start of an end flap tear. No graffiti. Correct colour spot at the end flaps. Period shop label on an end flap almost covers an area of surface loss at this site.
