A rare early model to come to the market-place, and especially difficult to find boxed.
Issued between 1962-66, this Swiss export model has a striking yellow and black finish, with virtually perfect – perfect ‘PTT’ transfers at the sides. Early issue without opening doors, no glazing, silver (not jewelled) headlights, spun wheels. Shiny base and well-shaped original treaded tyres.
Pleasing lustre.
Tiny spot of retouching covering two small raised casting marks.
The plain yellow card box has the correct print i.e. ‘Auto Suisse VW’ and ‘Schweizer Postauto VW’ at an end flap. Bright and fresh with minor wear only Faint pencilled writing on the top surface. .
