D942
Dinky 942 Foden 14-Ton Tanker 'REGENT'. Near mint/boxed. Issued during 1955. From a small private collection in Essex.
Notes
This shining bright tanker is precisely dated June 1955 (Dinky stamp inside the box lid). Complete ‘REGENT’ lettering on both sides ( couple of minor ’background rubs on one side), and no dents or crazing to the tank.
It is really difficult to find an example with such a good rear transfer. Mark-free!
An honest example with an attractive sheen. Usual chips to be found at wheel arches and at extreme edges of the white border, where it meets the front and rear caps of the tanker.
Tyres are well-shaped, including the spare.
The striped Supertoys box is clean and complete. Light wear commensurate with age. Staples are a touch tarnished now. Vibrant colours and that includes the box base. No tears or repairs. Period price is pencilled on the lid.
