N186
Nicky/Dinky Toys 186 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE. Intense yellow version. Very near mint/unboxed. Scarce. From The Eric Slager Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A very close to mint example finished in an eye-catching shade of intense yellow, with original silver details, pale grey interior, steering wheel, and intact window glazing. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels with silver ‘spoked’ effect.
Very close to mint paint finish – a little rough casting on a rear door ( but as-made).
Shiny black base with ‘KUMAR & CO. Licensee in India’ on the base.
