Another first for QDT!
We are thrilled to offer for sale this group of 4 French Dinky Special issues for the 1981 French Presidential Election Campaign.
The standard Peugeot 204 last issues (Made in Spain) are decorated with the transfers for four of the French Presidential Candidates, namely Georges Marchais (PCF candidate), V. Giscard d’Estaing (incumbent president Republican Party), Francois Mitterrand (successful candidate for the Socialist Party)) & Jacques Chirac (Rally for the Republic). Released in very small numbers.

One example (V. Giscard d’Estaing version) was sold at Christie’s Auction House in London in 2002 and achieved a price of £447.

Purchased by the present owner from a famous and well-regarded Paris Toyshop, each model has notably complete detailed transfers throughout, save for one letter on the Jacques Chirac example ( letter ‘E’ is rubbed on President on passenger side door).
Opening bonnets, red interiors, shiny spun wheels, and correct screwed bases (typical of Spanish issue French Dinky models).
Correct pictorial boxes each bear ‘La Conformitie’ label and show minor age-handling wear only.
