D413
Dinky 413 Austin Covered Wagon. Two-tone blue issue. Very near mint/boxed. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1954-60 under this numbering, this charming Dinky commercial truck was issued in various colour finishes, this surely being one of the most eye-catching in two-tone blue and in this very close to mint condition, difficult to resist! Wonderful lustre shows that this model has barely been out of its box.
Original tinplate tilt has retained its shape well (often found scratched and even dented) and the original wheels run smoothly. Headlight and radiator assembly is fine too finished in black with fine silver detailing (original). Bright fresh-looking baseplate and metal parts generally.
Note the factory unfinished area at a window – with a piece of casting in place that has never been removed!Occasional negligible mark to the paint finish.
The box is complete with the correct colour spot at the end flaps. Rather grubby in places now and a small handling tear at an end flap edge.
