D28D
Dinky 28D Delivery Van "OXO Beef At Its Best". 1st type. Excellent plus/never individually boxed. A rare item from a prestigious U.K. Collection.
Notes
It is such a delight to come upon these very early Dinky Delivery Vans and this one is in all original condition with superb gold lettering on both sides. All sound and intact with no parts broken or missing. These early vans made of lead composition do not suffer from the fatigue often found in the later second and third type vans.
This commercial Dinky was made for such a short time – between 1934-35 – so it is especially sought in this condition. All original throughout with a distinctive silurian blue pigment, complemented by virtually complete glistening gold lettering on both sides and purple-washed wheels.
Rather splendid in fact!
Paint chipping mostly at one front wheel arch (fewer marks at the other front wheel arch). Only the most minor mark besides. Bright radiator surround, intact axles.
_A delight to own – these early advertising vans are in extremely short supply! _
