C335
Corgi 335 4.2 Litre Jaguar 'E' Type 2 + 2. Very near mint/boxed. Metallic blue version. Rare to find with perspex card packing piece & detachable 'winged' card piece. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
This is a pleasing example of this popular Corgi model, presented in the winged blister-style box. Not an easy model to find. The Jaguar has a bright mid-blue metallic finish, black interior, spoked wheels, opening doors, bonnet (revealing a detailed engine), and boot. Detailed interior has tip up seats and a rear sliding seat. Nicely detailed on the underside too. Well-shaped, fine tread tyres with ‘Corgi Toys’ embossed.
Bright chrome bumpers and distinctive recessed headlights. Complete label at the rear.
In very close to mint; obviously unused condition.
Few tiny marks visible only to the gimlet-eyed.
The attractive box is very fine indeed – crisp, fresh and bright card with all the delicate parts intact – and that includes the clear plastic ‘bubble’. Note that one edge of the bubble has ‘lifted’ slightly from the card. Unpunched header card (fleck of surface loss at this site). Front edge of the card (a vulnerable area that is often worn) has barley any wear at all. Bright card plinth (as-new card) on which the car sits.
Plenty of information on the Jaguar at box reverse.
Delighted to see that it comes with both the additional clear perspex piece which fits over the model when it is placed in the blister as well as the detachable winged card piece . Light crease at one end of the card piece.
Minor age/handling wear to the box.
An exciting Corgi model to add to your collection!
