A scarce colour variation and the first we have ever offered for sale. Note the cab colour – this is not a tan shade or indeed the stone or grey shade – all variations that we have handled in the past. This fawn shade (‘colder’ colour shade than all the tan variations and not quite accurately conveyed in these pictures however) is very similar to the early issue shade of the Dinky 40E Standard Vanguard from 1949. This early issue Breakdown Lorry was also issued in 1949.

Few little marks at some exposed edges. Dinky Service lettering in white on both sides. Smooth, well-shaped original tyres. Early brass winding handle cuff. Shiny baseplate. Tinplate jib.
Early orange lift-off lid box with paper label ( corner nick). Minor grubbiness and age wear.
