C266
Corgi 266 Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. 1st issue. Mint/boxed. Complete with all four original figures and wrap-around cloud scene. Recently removed from a trade pack - one of the best examples you will ever see. From 'The Monty Calme Corgi Collection'.
Notes
A landmark Corgi Collection covering the width and breadth of Corgi models amassed over decades by an exuberant collector. The Monty Calme collection is a truly astonishing gathering of the best of Corgi models and ephemera, including rare and unique pieces and point of sale items. The largest collection we have ever seen.
This is the ‘most fantasmagorical’ Corgi toy, in all original condition. Originally sent to the shops in trade packs of two, this item has only recently been removed from its trade pack. Scandalously good!
The car is in assumed mint (never removed from its box) – gleaming bright with chrome bonnet band immediately in front of the windscreen. All four original figures seated inside.
The box is the finest example we have ever seen. Really crisp, fresh and vibrant! Complete with the white plastic inner and blue card cloud scene (often missing). Minor age wear.
The large cellophane fronted “window” box has intact original cellophane. No crease at the back of the header card where it joins the box. Looks shop-fresh. Note one tiny ‘start of a tear’ where an end flap joins the main body of the box.
A firm Corgi favourite – one of the most decorative and much-loved Corgi models.
