C474
Corgi 474 Musical Wall's Ice Cream Van. Very near mint/boxed (wear). With FULLY WORKING CHIMES. Card stand and wrap-around card. Unapplied stickers on backing sheet. Instruction Leaflet. From a beautiful, single-owner collection, some 25 years in the making.
Notes
One of the most eagerly sought-after Corgi models, especially with fully working chimes.
The Ford Thames Van has a shining blue and cream finish with colourful awning and decorative trimmings, sliding windows and notably when you turn the handle the chimes play the complete tune (5 notes)! Bright plated fittings and complete ’Wall’s’ transfers on both sides. Windows are rather ‘foggy’ now( common fault – over time dust gets trapped and adhered to the interior surface of the windows). Otherwise hard to fault.
Nice to see that this example comes with the clean and bright colourful card stand (couple of very light creases), as well as the wrap-around card packing piece. Full set of unapplied labels on a backing sheet. Instruction Leaflet/Corgi Club Membership Form is included too.
The decorative card box is clean and quite bright with quite a crisp feel. . Little seam tear and the remains of a label on one side. Minor age wear besides.
A truly nostalgic piece!
