C223
Corgi 223 Chevrolet Impala "State Patrol". Very near mint/boxed. Paper label version. Original card packing piece.
Notes
This U.S. Police Car was issued between 1959-61 and is in superb, all original condition, complete with straight aerial and bright and clean, intact paper ‘State Patrol’ labels on both sides (often they can become quite transparent with age). This car has a shining black finish with a silver stripe on both sides, detailed lemon interior, early flat spun wheels with suspension. Well-shaped, original fine tread tyres.
One or two negligible marks only to the lustrous paint finish. Note the addition of period number plates (available from Corgi at the time, so that you could add extra little details to your Corgi models).
The pictorial card box is complete and bright with quite a crisp feel. No tears. Period pencilled price at an end flap.
Nice to see that this example comes complete with the card packing piece.
