D290
Dinky 290 Double Deck Bus 'DUNLOP'. Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce version in RED & CREAM with SPUN WHEELS! Another rare and sought-after model from The East Netherlands Collection.
Notes
Issued during 1963 with a type 3 Leyland grille, this classic Dinky bus with spun wheels is a difficult version to find. This example presents well with a lustrous original vibrant red and cream paint finish, treaded tyres. Complete sloping lettering on both sides (tiniest of dots on one letter).
Presents very well indeed.
An honest example with a few minor marks mostly at two wheel arches.
The correct lighter yellow pictorial box is vividly-coloured, complete with all end flaps. Crisp feel to the card. Clean. Correct colour spot for this version. Thin strip of surface loss on one box face and a small tear at the tuck-in part of one large end flap.
More difficult to source in our experience than the green, spun wheel version.
