Dinky 978
Dinky 978 Bedford Refuse Wagon. Very, very near mint/boxed (wear), with both original bins, including the lids. From a most knowledgeable and enthusiastic collector in South London.
Notes
This classic Dinky truck was issued for some sixteen years in total (1964-72), this being an early issue with a bright green cab, grey back and red plastic hubs. Red interior. Model is in unused condition with both REFUSE WAGON labels at the sides, as well as the complete chevron label at the rear. Perfect crest transfers on both sides of the vivid green cab. All delicate rear opening shutters are intact and function well, too.
None of the usual chipping head-on, showing that this truck has had careful handling only.
Both plastic bins are present, with lids.
Downgraded from absolutely mint due to a little grubbiness at the REFUSE WAGON labels (being extra-fussy here).
The pictorial lift-off lid box has vibrant colours. Attractive backdrop for the truck when on display! Small stain and a little split to one of the seams of the lid.
