C268
Corgi 268 The Green Hornet's 'Black Beauty'. Very near mint/boxed. With Instructions in Packet, scanners and missiles. Intact suspension and the radiator hinge closes well! From The Somerset Collection.
Notes
An exciting iconic T.V inspired Corgi model – typically harder to find than the James Bond models available during this period. Issued between 1968-72. This is a beautiful example in close to mint, all original condition. Beautiful delicate roof logo is intact. Note that the radiator closes securely (often these models are found with the radiator gaping slightly even when closed). Note too that suspension is present on all four wheels (stronger at the front as you might expect, since it is by depressing the rear wheels that the scanners are fired from the boot).
The all-important detailed roof transfer is complete and perfect. The car’s gadgets i.e. front missile and the radar scanner function well.
Tiny mark at the rear and minor rubbing to the ‘squirt guns’ chrome cover.
This example comes with the Secret Instruction Packet which has been opened Little ruffling and a couple of very small tears). Inside, are the Instructions, four radar scanners and four missiles.
The very attractive inner card stand has lots of atmospheric graphics. It is in close to shop-fresh condition; absolutely crisp, bright and clean – with no wheel slot tears!
The outer box is crisp, clean and colourful with only the most minor age wear. No tears. Period pencilled price label on one box face.
