D481
Dinky 481 Bedford 10cwt Van 'Ovaltine'. Very near mint/boxed. From The Reference Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1955-60 only, this classic Dinky model was one of a series of delightful advertising vans made during this period.
Nearly always found with some marking to the transfer edge, this one is happily free from any nicks. Letters are crisp and clearly defined with no mottling or rubbing either. A very fine example.
Bright, original, lustrous mid-blue paint finish, too.
The keenest eye may spot a mere dot or two (you generally can find a tiny mark if you look long enough!). Minor spidering to the base. Axles are shiny. Silver trim is unrubbed.
Very nice!
The box is complete and strongly-coloured, feeling crisp. Very small start of a tear at an end flap. Little crumple at this site too. Tiny fleck of surface loss at the top surface. Little rubbed area at an end flap where an original price has been largely erased.
