C303S
Corgi 303S Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster. Very near mint/boxed. White with a red bonnet stripe. RACING NUMBER 1. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
Issued between 1961-63, this is a sought after Mercedes model.
In white with a yellow interior, suspension on bright shaped spun wheels. Complete bonnet stripe (tiny front edge wear), a difficult find with racing number ‘1’. Original driver is smartly dressed in a grey suit, white shirt and red bow tie! Original windscreen has a hairline crack. Fine silver trim. Shiny baseplate. Supple, as-new tyres.
A couple of the tiniest dots of stray factory silver at a front wing. Minor dot on the passenger seat and a little driver’s head scuff.
The box is extremely crisp. Clean and bright, looking very fresh indeed. Obviously rarely opened. Period price labels at an end flap. Couple of very small stains.
A desirable Corgi car – don’t let this one get away!
