Notes
This collector wanted only the best examples in his collection ? always a discerning buyer of the finest examples he could find. After over 25 years, he has now decided to part with items from his own extensive collection.
This is one of them.
A fine and original example of this early version made between 1953-54 (later renumbered 981). It is cast in aluminium and has a very lustrous deep maroon paint finish, which is close to perfect. Little marks, mostly at the opening side and rear doors. Complete lettering at both sides, couple of tiny dots to the lettering above the cab. Looks day-one bright with none of the expected marks on the raised roof details or indeed head-on.
Chip at a front wheel arch.
It comes in the correct, early, deep blue box with complete and bright paper labels.
Minor age wear. No graffiti. Note the deep blue unfaded colour of the box. Hudson Dobson (export) label in place at the side (little wear).
No packing pieces with this example.
