C238
Corgi 238 Jaguar Mark X. Scarce colour (silver). Near mint/boxed, with original suitcases stowed. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
A very attractive example of this popular Corgi model, issued between 1962-67 in a variety of colour finishes.
This scarce silver colour finish is in close to mint condition with just a couple of raised casting dots on the roof and two or three small dots besides. We have observed a variety of silver colour finishes over the years – some a true light silver, others almost a silver-blue and now this one; a pale yellowish-silver. Red interior and suspension on shaped spun wheels. Jewelled headlights, opening bonnet and boot. Correct ‘little and large’ light tan suitcases stowed in the boot.
Little box contact rub at the sides, a small mark and a little chip on the boot.
The box is extremely bright – looking as-new! Two period price labels at a non-picture side.
