Notes

From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.

Issued between 1971-72, this desirable London Transport Gift Set comprises:
1) Corgi 418 Taxi, in gloss black finish. In unused, very, very near mint condition (minor rub at a wheel arch/thin paint, probably as-made).
2) Corgi 468 Routemaster Bus ‘OUTSPAN’. In unused condition, this detailed bus has perfect labels/transfers throughout and includes both a driver and conductor.Cream seating, clear stairs. A small mark on the roof and a little blemish (bruise) to one window (as-made) .
3) Corgi 226 Mini, in an attractive metallic blue finish. Tiny paint blemish to the driver’s door.

The polystyrene inner is in shop-fresh condition.

The outer window box is complete and bright, with intact smooth original cellophane. Period price label at an end flap. Tiny wear only (tiniest start of an end flap hinge tear (really tiny!) and a little edge ruffling to a large end flap.
An unusual Gift Set issued for just a short time by Corgi, and aimed at the tourist market.
