C230
Corgi 230 Merecedes-Benz 220SE. Very near mint/boxed. Black version. Scarce. From a large stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
Issued between 1962-67 in a few different finishes, this striking version in black is the most difficult version to find. Intact bonnet emblem and suspension on shaped spun wheels. Spare wheel stowed in the boot. Very similar to Corgi 253 – but unlike 253, note that this issue (correctly) has no quarterlight window.
Light roof rub (box contact). Little factory assembly mark at wheel arches and a little dot at a door handle. Minor rubbing at rear bumper.
The box is clean, wonderfully crisp and bright. Gives the impression of old shop stock. Neatly folded Corgi Club Membership Form is included. Period price label on a non-picture side.
Superb!
