This is a most sought-after classic Dinky tanker. Such an unusual find with a combination of plastic and metal wheels -one of only a very few made like this. Vibrant red and all-original finish throughout. Tanker is tinplate with clean, clear and bright transfers on both sides and at rear. Complete with an intact ladder and manhole covers. None of the usual problems often found with these models i.e. rust, crazing, discolouration to the white transfer, flaking paint to the ladder – no dents in the tanker or indeed any rust spots.

Carefully handled and stored, this unboxed example has retained a vibrant lustre and has only the occasional little mark. Couple of the near-obligatory rubs to the ‘ribs’ of the tank and a tiny nick on one side besides. Rear transfer is notably complete and has a fine light surface mark which may be possible to remove carefully. A little uneven casting to three wheel arches.

Bright base and the original tyres are well-shaped.
Most unusually, this example has a combination of the early Supertoy (metal) wheels on the cab and the later detailed plastic wheels on the tank.
