D283
Dinky 283 B.O.A.C. Coach. Very, very near mint/boxed. From an impeccable collection in The Netherlands.
Notes
First issued during 1956, this coach has a deepest blue paint finish with a white roof. ‘BRITISH OVERSEAS AIRWAYS CORPORATION’ lettering is notably perfect on both sides (nearly always found a little rubbed). The BOAC lettering in yellow as well as the distinctive gold Speedbird emblem is complete and intact. Shiny base and axles. Smooth original tyres look as-new.
Occasional pinprick mark visible under minute scrutiny
The picture box has a crisp, clean, bright, as-new feel. Tiny grubbiness and a little rubbed area at an end flap.
