Notes
A more difficult find with flat spun wheels, this fine ‘MOBILGAS’ Petrol Tanker has a vivid and all original scarlet finish with close to perfect transfers (slight crazing, mostly on one side) . Presents really well with a day-one bright lustre, shiny metal parts and supple, well-shaped original black radial tyres. Bright silver trim (minor rubbing head-on) . Window glazing.
Base has penned numbering ( CB9 219). Subte and hard to see unless under strong light.
The lift-off lid box is clean and brightly-coloured. No splits or repairs. Minor age wear only. No graffiti. Original packing card is still present too (couple of small punctures), as well as the early ‘Moorgate’ Corgi Club Membership Form.
