Slightly later issue (1963-68) with blue plastic sliding doors at ends and middle.
This example is in original condition with a day-one vibrant red and blue paint finish. None of the usual sunfading to the red or rubbing to the blue ‘Chipperfields’ lettering. Shaped spun wheels and as-new treaded original tyres. Intact tow hook and drawbar, and the amber roof glass is intact (minor rub to one).
With both lion and lioness.
Few little (expected) marks at the opening hatches.
No ‘Lions’ transfer. Printed notice from Corgi, ‘Queensway’ Corgi Club Membership Form, and packing card (with deep score on one side) are included.
Lift-off lid pictorial box is close to mint with vivid colours, clean and fresh. Looks barely handled. No tears or splits. Small area of surface removal at one end.
