D514
Dinky 514 Guy Van "SLUMBERLAND". Near mint/boxed. Early issue with ridged wheels. From The Hall Collection, fresh to market models with one owner from new.
Notes
Issued between 1950-52, this model has a deep, vibrant red original paint finish with complete detailed transfers on both sides and above the cab roof. Obviously carefully handled and stored.
Early issue with ridged ‘car’ wheels. Later issue would have ‘Supertoy’/ grooved wheels.
There are a few handling chips at exposed edges as one might expect (eg. at rear door handles, at cab wheel arches), but this model presents very nicely and has no touch-ups upon close examination.
None of the usual chipping on the cab roof or box van roof either.
Base is very bright, shiny and fresh. Smooth original tyres are well-shaped, supple and run well.
The early blue box with a paper label has vibrant colours with no sunfading whatever. No splits. Complete paper label. A little minor age/handling wear only. Period price label at one lid end.
