Notes
This rare version presents very well indeed with a gleaming bright paint finish throughout! Rich cream cab and chassis and a distinctive mid-blue back with perfect ‘DINKY SERVICE’ lettering in black. Red ridged wheels and smooth black tyres, shiny base. Complete with a working tow hook
Bright winding handle cuff, whilst the winding handle has tarnishing now. Few little marks to the paint finish and what looks like a factory paint miss to one side of the front bumper immediately below a headlight. Notably, there is no paint loss at the tinplate jib.
The striped ‘Dinky Toys’ box is clean and fresh with strong colours and no splits. Dated March 1956 from the Dinky stamp inside the lid. Complete with the correct blue colour spot at a lid end. A little rust staining at the staples. Minor wear besides. Includes the Quality Control Tag.
